Pinch grips are lightweight miniature vice grips, which use a pivot action to initially grab a sample and then a wing nut to tighten the jaw face. Each 10mm x 10mm (0.39" x 0.39") jaw face has a slight groove to hold the sample securely, yet avoid inducing a break within the grip. Pinch grips are particularly well suited for peel testing of thin plastic films.
