Large Double-Action Vice Grips

The large double-action vice is rated to 5000N and can grip specimens with a thickness from 0.5 - 25mm. It has a Tommy-bar handle on one side for rapid tightening, and a fine-action thumb-screw on the other for accurate sample positioning. A graticule scaled in millimetres on one jaw can be used to aid reproducibility when centering the sample.

The dual-action allows adjustment for different thickness specimens keeping the tensile force aligned with the vertical axis. The 50mm wide x 40mm high pyramid jaws are ideally suited to gripping textiles, card, leather as well as thin metal sheets.
